About

xjonquilx | Mepis, Ubuntu, Fedora, Linux, Oh My!This is a fun little blog dedicated to all that is GNU/Linux, with a focus in Mepis, Ubuntu, and Fedora. I will also occasionally blog about my interests: crafts, writing,  photography, technological gadgets, spirituality, and whatever else catches my fancy.

I’m the editor in chief of an online local news magazine called InPalatka.com. I am also working towards earning my AS in Information Technology with a concentration in Networking. I have been tinkering with computers for 10 years, and have been tinkering with Linux for 6 years. Some of my technological interests include web design, networking, search engine optimization, and marketing.

Personality wise my friends describe me as being “therapeutic” and “always trying to make things pretty”. I’m the “make love, not war” type and I believe strongly in people treating each other with respect. I’m a good listener and a good person to listen to. My friends are more than just friends, they’re my family, and I’m fond of making lifetime ties.

This blog’s personality type is ESTJ (The Guardian). ESTJ blogs are the organizing and efficient type. They are especially attuned to setting goals and managing available resources to get the job done. Once they have made up their mind on something, it can be quite difficult to convince otherwise. They listen to hard facts and can have a hard time accepting new or innovative ways of doing things.

The Guardians are often happy working in highly structured work environments where everyone knows the rules of the job. They respect authority and are loyal team players.
I hope you enjoy this blog and even learn something new. There are a few rules to comments you need to know, however.
  1. If it’s not in English, it’s not getting published.
  2. If it’s insulting and/or disrespectful, it’s not getting published.
  3. If it’s off topic, it’s not getting published.
  4. If it’s advertising a product or service, it’s not getting published.
  5. If its sole purpose is to annoy, it’s not getting published.
Welcome to my blog. Have a good time!
